Paris, April 23, 2007 -- Coty Prestige, a division of Coty Inc., announced today that it has signed an agreement with actress Kim Basinger to be the face of Lancaster's new skincare collection starting Fall 2007.

The agreement marks the first time the blonde, blue-eyed Southern belle, the unforgettable actress of 9 1/2 weeks and L.A. Confidential, crosses over into the skincare market. Lancaster, the anti-ageing expert, has chosen Basinger for her radiant beauty and unique feminine sensuality as well as her personality.

Though an international screen icon, women identify with Basinger. She is a devoted mother to a twelve-year-old daughter, Ireland Eliesse. She is an activist, committed to the rights of animal and environmental causes.

Born in Georgia, Basinger first started as a top model with Eileen Ford. At 20, she moved to Los Angeles to dedicate herself to acting. Her film career already spans 40 films, and her many roles include "9 1/2 weeks", "Batman" and "L.A. Confidential" for which she earned numerous awards, among them an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress and a Golden Globe Award.
