This role will be representing COVERGIRL, our largest and most iconic brand.  The role will support the Walgreens & Ulta accounts, reporting to the .

 

The role will work closely with our Chicago based sales office including analytics, finance and CPFR.  The role will have direct selling & account management responsibilities and will also partner with our Trade Marketing, Wall Strategy & Brand teams to develop selling initiatives.

 

THE ROLE

The primary responsibilities of the Sales Analyst are to support the Coty Walgreens & National Account Managers and Director of Sales in analyzing past and current business trends, analyzing competitive actions, and mining future sales opportunities to drive business growth on the CoverGirl brand with Walgreens & Ulta.  

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage weekly Sales Reporting and monthly business reviews.
  • Nielsen reporting
  • RSi reporting – Walgreens proprietary system
  • Loyalty Reporting – Walgreens proprietary system
  • CoverGirl and Cosmetics analytics & Walgreens support
  • Assist in new item set-up for stores & on-line
  • Assist in creating display programs and project management
  • Support bi-annual shelf-productivity analysis
  • Support plan-o-gram project management & distribution analytics/reporting
  • Support monthly category analysis and insights and present to Walgreens & Ulta
  • Analytical support and preparation Walgreens & Ulta category line review.
  • Support National Account Managers on Trade program analysis and development with a focus on productivity and ROI.
  • Support additional analytical requests from Walgreens & Ulta
  • Support & lead presentation (PPT) building for all Walgreens appointments & internal Sally Hansen presentations
  • Support additional analytical requests from brand team in New York               
  • New Fixture Administration

 

  • Note on Working Conditions: Requires flexibility to travel as required.  Ability to perform periodic retail visits.

 

 

 

Application Pre-Requisites:

  • Bachelor’s Degree plus 2+ years of business experience in a related field.  Experience with Nielsen preferred.

 

 

Special skills required:

  • Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and organizational/time management skills.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Aptitude for problem solving.
  • Proficient in the following systems:  Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Additional systems knowledge:  experience with syndicated and panel data (IRI and/or ACNielen), space management software
  • Ability to work with data from multiple sources, interpret the data and turn into actionable conclusions
  • Ability to ask and answer probing business questions                   
  • Desire to work in a strong team environment.

 

  • Goal orientated and results driven.

 

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

We’d love to see candidates who have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3-5 years of related national customer experience including proven success in a sales reporting, trade marketing or CPG analytics role
  • Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Possess solid judgement and decision making ability.
  • Customer & team centric approach, P&L focus & growth oriented
