IT SITE LEAD

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY – HUNT VALLEY, MD

On-Site – Full Time

 

 

COTY is looking for smart leaders who are fast and passionate.

 

This role is to ensure the streamlined operation of the local Enterprise Client Services (ECS) department in alignment with the supply chain & business objectives of the organization.

This individual will plan, coordinate, design and deliver IT-related activities of the factory/DC, as well as providing administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the local ECS department.

The IT Site Lead will work closely with other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.

This is a hands-on role, and knowledge of core production and office technologies is required.

 

THE ROLE

 

In this role you will be responsible for:

 

Strategy & Planning

  • Work with the IT Director and local teams on operational planning, including fostering innovation, planning projects, and organizing and executing day to day support activities.
  • Attend meetings with the business in order to discuss issues and requests

Acquisition & Deployment

  • Analyze, report on, and make suggestions for the improvement and growth of the IT infrastructure, IT systems and production platforms.
  • Work with the IT Director and colleagues to develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for IT spending and initiatives.
  • Ensure the implementation of and compliance with all IT policies and procedures, including those for security, standards, purchasing, and service provision.
  • Work with the IT Director and colleagues to manage relationships with 3rd parties and vendors.

Operational Management

  • Provide deployment, monitoring, maintenance, upgrades, and support of all IT systems, including servers, laptops and PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, production systems and peripherals.
  • Hands-on provision of end-user services, including service desk and technical support services.
  • Work with the IT Leadership and stakeholders to define business, production and systems requirements for new technology implementations.
  • Direct research on potential technology solutions in support of procurement efforts and day to day support.
  • Keep current with the latest technologies.
  • Practice asset management for IT hardware, software, and equipment.
  • Work with Global IT Pillars to assist with the management of telecommunications (fixed and mobile) and audiovisual (AV) systems, and network technologies.
  • Work with Global IT Pillars to carry out daily administration and troubleshooting for computer equipment, servers, LAN/WAN and provide hands-on troubleshooting support as required.
  • Support the ECS Leadership as needed and contribute to specific projects, strategic planning and implementation

 

 

 

 QUALIFICATIONS

 

We’d love to see candidates who have:

 

Formal Education & Certification

  • University degree in the field of computer science or equivalent experience
  • 1 – 2 years’ team leader experience in IT service, infrastructure and similar roles
  • Certifications in ITIL.

 

Knowledge & Experience

  • Strong hands-on technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems, including windows operating systems.
  • Knowledge of current network hardware and standards.
  • Knowledge of IT-Operations and System Management tools
  • General experience and knowledge of Data Backup and Data Recovery
  • General experience and knowledge of virtualization technologies including VMWare.
  • Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives, focusing on the needs and requirements of a highly available production environment.
  • Good understanding of project management principles.

  • Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment and able to adapt to a fast changing and challenging environment.

 

Work Conditions

  • On-call availability for escalations.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and to handle other computer components.
  • Occasional inspection of cables in floors and ceilings.
  • Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.
  • Working in a fully international environment, with business travel both internationally and in the region on an occasional basis.
