Senior Procurement Manager, Marketing - North America

INTERNAL TITLE: Marketing Category Lead- North America

DEPARTMENT: Global Procurement

REPORTING TO: Indirect Procurement Director - North America

LOCATION: New York, NY

SUMMARY OF ROLE

The Marketing Category Lead will have the responsibility to lead regional sourcing strategy and key initiatives for Advertising and Marketing services categories for the North America zone.

He/She will deliver required value and benefits for Coty through the entire process, i.e. from Sourcing until Purchase-to-pay, including SRM and internal stakeholders management.

 

The North America region being a key strategic Zone for the group, the Regional category lead will be working closely with Coty Global category leads (based in France, UK and Geneva) to ensure that global strategic plans are translated into regional opportunities for North America, and thoroughly implemented and communicated.

This will also involve leading global / regional change projects and complex sourcing initiatives on behalf of our global colleagues.

 

Some projects will be specific to the North America region, in which case the Regional category Lead will work closely with his / her team to design, validate and implement effective Sourcing strategies for the region.

 

The category team consists of 1 to 2 buyers / senior buyers, who will be working under the leadership of the Regional Category Lead.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Follow strong Sourcing methodology approach from scoping to delivery to identify and implement solutions for North America.
  • Develop and maintain close relationship with all internal stakeholders in your perimeter
  • Define and implement improved ways of working with suppliers and stakeholders,
  • Work with external partners and internal colleagues (Marketing, Finance, and Legal) to ensure best in class operational support, at the best possible conditions for Coty.
  • Oversee Strategic Supplier Relationship Management of designated suppliers.
  • Ensure Innovation, Quality, Services, and Cost competitiveness.
  • Support the business and Global Procurement in reaching their objectives.
  • Deliver against savings objectives.
  • Manage sourcing project and business cases and ensure effective implementation and embedding of the output.
  • Manage complex Suppliers’ negotiations & sourcing arrangements.
  • Support Legal teams in contractual discussions and oversee signature, to ensuring that Coty business relationships are protected by appropriate contractual documents. 
  • Ensure internal communication when appropriate.
  • Manage and support Buyers / Senior Buyers in their projects and development program

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE

  • Business and/or Procurement graduate calibre ideally with a post-graduate qualification.
  • Minimum 10 years Indirect Procurement experience within multinational companies.
  • Experience in Marketing Procurement within the North America market.
  • People management experience (min 3 years).
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Advanced in Stakeholders engagement and communication.
  • Advanced in Negotiation skills in complex or monopolistic environments.
  • Advanced in data collection, analysis and creative problem solving.
  • Advanced in desktop tools (reporting, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Relevant experience & market knowledge of Marketing and Business Services categories
