MISSION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

We are current looking for a Shipping/Office Services Coordinator to be based out of our Morris Plains, NJ location. 

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Process shipments via UPS Worldship system including hazardous shipments (must be IATA-certified).
  • Receives inbound carrier/freight deliveries and sorts mail into mailboxes.  Delivers inbound packages to onsite internal employees.
  • Orders kitchen, office, lab and warehouse related supplies.  Creates PO requisitions in Ariba system and obtains quotes from vendors.  (Where applicable, will use company P-Card to process orders).
  • Responsible for managing break rooms and kitchens to ensure that all areas are properly stocked and professional in appearance.
  • Responsible for conference room set up for various meetings/lunches - (set up and breakdown).
  • Pay utility, building maintenance, food service and various miscellaneous bills as required.  Manage and track payments.
  • Manages copier area (replaces toner cartridges, waste drums, etc.)  Schedules repairs as needed.
  • Maintains postage meter funding.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications

  • Must possess IATA certification and experience shipping hazmat materials.
  • Must be computer literate with the ability to enter and review date for accuracy. Experience working with Ariba is a plus!
  • Ability to maintain and manager a company P- Card.
  • Strong communication skills and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.  Must be able to prioritize assignments/ projects.
  • Must possess strong attention to detail with a keen sense of urgency
  • Possess a team-building attitude and strong commitment to aligning to the company’s culture.

Physical Demands/Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand and/or walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. as required for necessary work assignments
  • Ability to routinely follow policies and procedure related to company practices and safety procedures

Description Of Work Environment/Conditions

  • Ability to perform assigned work hours and work periodic overtime in order to meet the job responsibilities of the role
  • Individual will be exposed to /around a lab environment with various equipment, machinery and chemicals.  Safety precautions must be adhered to and followed at all times
