MISSION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

We are actively looking for a Senior Paralegal to join our Consumer Beauty division legal group. This position reports to the SVP & General Counsel of Coty’s Consumer Beauty Division and works closely with several members of the legal team, and the business.  This is a newly created role within this division, so creativity and assertiveness is required for this role.  The candidate will need to be dynamic and independent, working as an interface between marketing, R&D, trade marketing and the legal department, helping to re-characterize and stream line how legal and business work together. A passion for the beauty business is essential. An international outlook is key.

Key responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain agreement databases and software; manage claims process and organize gates for approval
  • Manage agreement templates, interacting with business areas
  • Interface with other business areas to organize flow of legal work; create deadlines and maximize efficiencies
  • Use Microsoft PowerPoint to prepare presentations
  • Prepare charts and excel sheets
  • Apostille and legalization of documents
  •  Interact with members of the global legal organization

 

THE COTY IDEAL FIT

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Apostille, legalization experience
  • The ideal candidate will be law firmed trained, and also have in-house experience from a fashion, retail, Consumer Packaged Goods or Beauty Company.
  • Prior experience with contract preparation and management required
  • Experience of working in a team environment
  • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel required
  • Excellent research, writing, and communication skills
  • Internet search skills
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail is crucial
  • Must be assertive and forceful with business teams and other legal clients
  • High-organized, self starter
  • Regulatory experience is a plus
  • Claims substantiations experience is also a plus
