MISSION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

We are current looking for a Regulatory Affairs Analyst.  This position will be based in 500 The American Rd, Morris Plains, NJ 07950 with travel as assigned. 

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Support and track raw material coding team with daily requests.
  • Review all new and alternate raw materials identified by the formulators to ensure Global Regulatory Compliance.
  • Trouble-shoot regulatory rule challenges from chemists.
  • Manage requests to raw material vendors when additional documentation is requested.
  • Upload documents and make necessary updates to system records.
  • Work with TPM project managers by performing regulatory reviews for TPM formulas and providing feedback for any additional information required.
  • Complete requests for product registrations through the use of the Coty Registration database.
  • Aid in the resolution of any registration questions from Requestors or authorities.
  • Liaison with international authorities to provide assistance concerning global product registration.  Responsibilities include formula review and safety assessments to ensure global regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain WERCS database for formula, SDS and various other regulatory information for 20+ retailers enter all UPC's being sold at each retailer when requested.
  • Act as bridge between chemists and support functions (Toxicology, Analytical, Product Testing, and Microbiology) to troubleshoot questions/concerns with raw materials.
  • Liaise with other Coty R&D locations to develop best practices for Raw Material Coding.
  • Monitoring global regulations and determine impact on Coty products.
  • Partner closely with Consumer Affairs to answer consumer questions and concerns.

 

Qualifications

  • Relevant education, College BS degree in Chemistry or related Science
  • 3 years of Regulatory Affairs experience.
  • Lab Bench Experience within Personal Care industry is a plus.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, especially detail-oriented and technical material.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team with diverse groups of people at various levels within COTY.
  • Ability to meet deadlines while being flexible to changes in priorities and interruptions.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills to complete assignments accurately.
  • Full usability of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint).
  • Experience with the Dassault System, Enginuity, or SAP is a plus.

 

Physical Demands/Requirements

  • Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time
  • Ability to occasionally travel to assigned regions- domestic and internationally.  This will require frequent sitting for an extended period of time.
  • Ability to routinely follow policies and procedure related to company practices and   safety procedures
  • Ability to operate various office equipment and/or machinery

 

Description of Work Environment/Conditions

  • Ability to perform assigned work hours and work periodic overtime in order to meet the job responsibilities of the role
  • Individual may visit internal and external manufacturing sites and laboratories.  Safety precautions must be adhered to and followed at all times.
