As we evolve into the new, modern Coty, I am confident that we will act courageously, do what is right for both our business and the world, and hold each other accountable to move further and faster.
Pierre-André Terisse
Chief Financial Officer
Since 1904, Coty has pioneered positive innovation across the beauty industry. In a world facing unprecedented challenges, we will continue driving positive ethical and environmental change across our value chain.

We launched our sustainability strategy, Beauty That Lasts, in February 2020. This strategy was guided by the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals and is structured around three pillars: The Beauty of Our Product, Our People and Our Planet. These areas are important to our stakeholders, and are where we have the biggest impact.

Within each area, we have set time-bound targets to accelerate our progress. You’ll find more details in our sustainability pages on this site and our annual sustainability report. We will reinforce our strategy over the coming months to reflect the pace of social and environmental change required and meet the evolving needs of our stakeholders.

Our sustainability strategy is led by our Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, with the sustainability team reporting into this role. The Sustainability Steering Committee, comprised of Executive Committee (EC) members, is responsible for overseeing the company’s sustainability strategy, targets and progress. Progress is reported to the EC, which has the responsibility of reviewing the strategy and allocating resources accordingly. Our Board of Directors receives regular updates on progress and has oversight on all sustainability policies, programs and reporting.
In 2020, Covid-19 had a devastating impact on lives around the world. Keeping our employees and their families safe has been our number one priority. We acted quickly across our offices, factories and distribution centers to implement government guidelines and facilitate remote working wherever possible.

Beyond our business, we also adapted many of our factory operations to produce hydro-alcoholic gel, which we distributed free to medical and emergency services staff, care homes and pharmacies, as well as to Coty associates. Our brands, including Clairol, philosophy, Sally Hansen and Wella diverted resources such as alcohol wipes and protective gloves to support the Covid-19 relief effort.
